Cooking Classes | Demonstrations

Starting at $45 per-person 2 hour minimum

So many people have come to discover a new found appreciation for cooking.  Rakkasan Chef provides an array of fun and exciting cooking classes ranging from “it taste just like moms” to “that’s better than his mothers and, she’s going to hate me and I love it.” 
      When we walk away you’ll no longer be intimidated by recipes and how to make them your own.  So let us help you unlock the magical place that exists in all kitchens together.  Singing, dancing, drinking, being merry is what an instructional class with the Rakkasan Chef results in.  “The roof; the roof is on fire and we don’t need any water, let the joint burn; Burn mother; Burn!”  If you know this party shout out then you know what I’m talking about.  Oh, Yeah!

People enroll in our classes to learn how to:

Classes are held on site or can be scheduled also held at private location
You can enjoy the company of like-minded individuals in a friendly and welcoming environment. We offer classes with varying levels of participation in an intimate setting.

Different levels of participation:

  • Demonstration: students observe as instructor prepares recipes.
  • Partial Participation: students assist with some food preparation.
Hands-on: students cook under the guidance of instructor.

On site healthy cooking demonstration based on ADA guidelines: Classes range in length from 30 minutes to 2 hours and can be condensed or expanded based on client needs to provide more hands on experience and detailed information. 

Option 1.  Vegetarian/Vegan cooking class; Easy creative recipes; utilizing broiling, baking, pan roasting techniques; demonstrating the use of small appliances to speed of preparation process. Class on hygiene & preventing cross contamination; information on what is contaminated food and how to recognize it; handouts covering each section of the class are provide.

Option 2.  Cutting the fat in your diet; demonstration of alternatives to cooking with out fat and the reduction of fat in recipes; understanding fats. Class on hygiene & preventing cross contamination; information on what is contaminated food and how to recognize it; handouts covering each section of the class are provide

Option 3.  Holiday meals prepared flavorfully-healthy; Traditional holiday recipes prepared with easy refined cooking techniques to create flavorful healthy dishes; Class on portion control is demonstrated and discussed; Class on hygiene & preventing cross contamination; information on what is contaminated food and how to recognize it; handouts covering each section of the class are provide

Option 4.  Breakfast-How you can make it healthy; Class showing alternative way to preparing a energy fortified breakfast; preparing advance morning meals; Class on hygiene & preventing cross contamination; information on what is contaminated food and how to recognize it; handouts covering each section of the class are provide

Additional charges for printed materials will be based on formats and the number of enrollees or advance orders for each Health fair and seminar price are provide in final quote.

Health Fairs and Seminars

Health fairs and seminars include short cooking demos, healthy information cooking tips.

Cost Structure
Half day rate (4 hours)                           $1100
Full day rate (8 hours)                            $1600

Optional food sampling will incur and additional charge of $200 to $350 for food items and serving vessels.

Travel

Client will be responsible for travel cost for any classes occurring outside of Miami-Dade County.
